New Holstein Municipal Airport
Established in 1961 by forward thinking city officials, the New Holstein Municipal Airport was built to support major industries in the community. Owned and operated by the City of New Holstein, the airport offers our aerial visitors many services, including self-service fuel, maintenance, charter services, and available hangar sites.
At an elevation of 992' with a 3600' asphalt runway, a 3000' grass runway rated as one of the best in the state, very few communities the size of New Holstein can boast of an airport of this quality.
Home to many local sports aviation enthusiasts, and approximately 19 air miles from Wittman Field in Oshkosh, the home of the annual EAA AirVenture, New Holstein Municipal Airport is the ideal location to enjoy the sport of flying.
During the week long EAA AirVenture, a wide variety of pilots use the airfield. The largest of these national groups are the Super Cubs, Inc. club, who use the camping facilities provided on the airfield and are supported by local businesses such as restaurants, limo and taxi services, etc. A pig roast for the community is sponsored by the club to show their appreciation each year.
The airfield is available to any group for fly-ins and/or group camping. Contact the City of New Holstein at 920-898-5766 for more information. For specific pilot information, click here.
If planning an overnight stay, accommodations at area motels and transportation can be arranged by contacting the New Holstein Area Chamber of Commerce @ 920-898-9095.
